Fellows Pgm

The Cambridge House Fellows Program is a one-year learning community for undergraduate and graduate students at William and Mary. Any interested student is encouraged to apply. Fellows will engage deeply with Scripture and the Christian intellectual tradition and will learn to think deeply about the intersection of faith, academic study and vocation. All this will be done in the context of the growing intellectual community at Cambridge House.

Program Structure

Fellows will participate in two weeknight gatherings per month.  The theme for 2024-2025 is “Thinking Christianly About…” Each gathering will entail prayer and scripture, conversation over a homecooked meal, rich discussions around the theme of the week - either engaging directly with an expert in the field, or exploring the readings for the week together, all while building towards deeper community.  Discussions will be led by Dr. Blake Puckett, Cambridge House Co-Founder and Chris Kuebler, Cambridge House intern and 2023-2024 Fellow.

Program Benefits

  • Inculcate the virtues of intellectual charity and the love of truth

  • Deeply encourage Fellows to explore the integration of their studies with their faith

  • Help Fellows discern their vocation clearly

  • Be a flagship program in the life of Cambridge House, inviting students to further their exploration of the riches of the Christian faith and the values and vision of Cambridge House

  • Engender regular opportunities for engagement between Fellows, W&M faculty, and the wider Cambridge House community

“I believe that no education is complete without due consideration of God and all his works, studied through theology and philosophy. The fellows have helped me glean much more from the texts than I would have taken away reading on my own. During a discussion, I have more than once found myself smiling uncontrollably, because I understood some new attribute of God. This program has helped me to pursue knowledge of God not as an academic exercise, but as worship.” — Katie C. (2023-2024 Fellow)

“A hidden gem of intellectual life on the William & Mary campus.” — Terence F. (2023-2024 Fellow)

“The Fellows Program has been a blessing, providing opportunities for fellowship with a close-knit group who challenge me to think in new ways about topics of faith, philosophy, and theology. Reading many impactful authors has helped to inform and solidify my own ideas of what it means to be a Christian and encouraged me to dive intellectually into my faith.” — Janey H. (2023-2024 Fellow)
