Board of Directors

Dr. Blake Puckett, President

Blake Puckett serves as a member of the senior executive service for the Department of Defense with a focus on national security and foreign policy analysis. He graduated from the United States Military Academy, holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, an M.S. in Joint Campaign Planning and Strategy from the Joint Forces Staff College, and a Ph.D. from Indiana University. His academic interests include national security affairs, Russia and Eurasia regional issues, rule of law and corruption issues, and the role of ethics in international affairs. Blake’s calling has straddled the line between academia and on-the-ground presence and he hopes to help others faithfully link education and vocation through the work of Cambridge House, where he currently serves as President of the Board. Blake enjoys jogging through Colonial Williamsburg, hiking in the mountains, or a good round of Axis and Allies. Blake and Paula have three young adult children and are proud “humans” for an African Basenji named Kafi.

Paula Jeffrey Puckett, Secretary

Paula Puckett serves as an Associate Regional Director for InterVarsity Graduate and Faculty Ministries in the 17-state South Central Region, and in Faculty Ministry at William & Mary, her alma mater.  She also holds an MA in Leadership from All Nations Christian College north of London. Paula is passionate about prayer, spiritual formation and helping scholars both young and old to flourish.  Paula and her husband, Blake, currently own the home where Cambridge House is located and she serves as Secretary of the Board.  Having worked in England alongside many men and women from the L’Abri tradition, Paula is particularly excited about the impact Cambridge House will have on generations of faculty and students. She is always happy to talk about tennis and her many trips to Wimbledon, or to take a dog walk around campus.  She resides in Williamsburg with her husband, Blake, and their three young adult children.

Sharon Wood-Dunn

Sharon Wood-Dunn is a 15-year veteran coach and mentor through the Executive Partner program at William & Mary’s Raymond A. Mason School of Business.  She holds a B.A. in Business and Communications from Hunter College, New York, is a paralegal and holds professional certification from Cornell University’s School of Industrial & Labor Relations.  Sharon’s background includes a 25-year professional career in consulting, corporate culture, labor relations, ethics and business conduct, and extensive volunteer work with the Let Freedom Ring Foundation’s Education & Scholarship Committee, Williamsburg’s Historic First Baptist Church Personnel Ministry and the Mason School’s Diversity & Inclusion Committee.  As a board member, Sharon’s journey has come full circle back to academia as she joins her passion of furthering Christian-related activities in a secular university setting.  She hopes to infuse her work at Cambridge House with her life’s motto, “Let’s get to the heart of it,” by guiding honest conversations in a safe space for those pursuing faith, intellectual integrity and spiritual formation.  An all sports fan, dedicated wife and mother, Sharon resides locally with her husband John, and is the proud “Mimi” to three grandchildren, who are the “center” of her life.

Rev. Hunter T. Ruch

Hunter Ruch serves as the Associate Pastor of Discipleship at the Williamsburg Community Chapel. He graduated from the University of Virginia where he double-majored in Architectural History and Religious Studies. Hunter subsequently earned a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Prior to moving to Williamsburg in 2016, he served for 10 years as the Pastor of Community at Topeka Bible Church in Topeka, Kansas. Hunter is passionate about teaching the Bible and helping others discover the life-changing truths found within its pages. While at UVA, Hunter was impacted by the ministries and relationships of the Center for Christian Study, and he is excited to see students and faculty at William & Mary encounter Jesus Christ through the ministries and relationships of Cambridge House. In his spare time, Hunter can be found working on a jigsaw puzzle or hopelessly rooting for the New York Mets. Hunter and his wife Blaire have four children and a rambunctious goldendoodle named Bailyn.

Tobi Wiseman

Tobi Wiseman is currently the Lower School Administrator at Providence Classical School (“PCS”) in Williamsburg. Her roles at the school have included Board Member and Board President, Development Director, and Preschool Director. Tobi received her J.D. from Washington & Lee University School of Law and has practiced law for 19 years. She is very passionate about our younger generation being inculcated with our western Christian paideia; being equipped with the scriptural truths from God’s holy Word; and being convinced that God made them in His own image and to have a personal relationship with Him, so they can live confidently, counter-culturally, and Christ-like in the world. Tobi is honored to join the Cambridge House Board. She is excited by this natural extension of inviting a Christian worldview into the academic life continuum through Cambridge House’s initiatives and looks forward to serving the William & Mary community. Tobi enjoys outdoor activities with her family, reading, gardening, and traveling.

Clif Brigham, Treasurer

Clif Brigham is an accountant and the President of a local CPA practice. He and his wife, Karen, are both graduates of William & Mary, and Clif holds a master’s degree in taxation from the college. They have two adult children, one of whom is also a graduate of William & Mary. Clif and Karen have ministered to international students at the college for over forty years and have a deep and abiding love and burden for students. He is active in his local church and has served on various church and charitable boards over the years. Clif is a Gideon and participates in regular Bible distributions. He is excited about the opportunity to serve Cambridge House, and he looks forward to being part of helping to equip students with the knowledge and tools needed to address the current culture with Bible-based answers to the challenges and brokenness of the world in which we live.

Dr. Joshua Puzey

Dr. Joshua Puzey is the Broderick Family/Goldman Sachs Associate Professor of Biology at William & Mary. Joshua earned his PhD in Evolutionary Biology from Harvard University, and he holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees from Virginia Tech, one in Biology and the other in Horticulture. Following his doctoral studies, he conducted research at Duke University. Joshua’s research is focused on evolutionary genomics with a particular focus on studying the genetic basis of rapid adaptation in the face of our ever-changing climate. By far and away, Joshua’s favorite aspect of working at W&M is the chance to interact with smart and passionate students. Outside of the lab, he finds immense joy in meaningful conversations that bridge faith, life, and work – the very type of conversations Cambridge House endeavors to foster. To relax, Joshua loves taking long walks with his three children and his dog, Sam (named after Tolkien’s Sam Gamgee), or reading a great book.
